The Begijnhof is patronage of Saint Ursula and Saint John, both of whom are depicted in the façade stones of house numbers 23 and 24. Another beautiful biblical stone is the one at no. 19 with the inscription: Out of Egypt I have called my son. It shows Joseph with the donkey carrying mother and child.

Other beautiful facade stones are visible between nrs. 34 and 35 on the blind wall. These stones  come from demolished buildings in Amsterdam and were placed here in the 60s: In the Salvaeter (1631), T Geloof (1680), S Jacopspoort, De Vlugt van Egipten (1612), In Emaus 1626, Abraham sacrificing son Isaac (1631), In Helias and the Gloyende Oven (1651).
